Contemplative Supervision
___________________
Contemplative supervision is based in the mindfulness-in-relationship approach of Core Process Psychotherapy (CPP) and explores all aspects of the practitioner-client dynamic, your approach to and the development of your practice in a held, safe space. I am happy to offer contemplative supervision to psychotherapists, Craniosacral (CST) practitioners and other complementary practitioners, health workers, volunteers, and staff from charitable organisations and Buddhist Centres, online or in person, 'solo' or in a group.
A Foundation Course in CPP at the Karuna Institute with Maura Sills led me to training at the Karuna Institute; I gained an MA in Mindfulness Based Psychotherapeutic Practice from Middlesex University. In 2015 I completed a Contemplative Supervision Course for Craniosacral Therapists with Deirdre Gordon (a CPP and CST practitioner, who used to teach at the Karuna Institute).
My supervision practice is accredited by the CSTA (CST Association of the UK) and I am currently undertaking the Diploma in Mindfulness Based Contemplative Supervision Training at Karuna Dartmoor. The Diploma will make me eligible for listing in both the ACPP (Association of CPPs) and UKCP (UK Council for Psychotherapy) Supervisor Directories as a supervisor. As part of the training, I will need to document 40 hours of supervised supervision sessions and I am open to enquiries should anybody be looking for either long or short-term supervision.
I deeply value my own personal supervision and being part of two peer supervision groups. I really enjoyed supervising final year Craniosacral Therapy students as a tutor, coordinator and finally director of the teaching clinic of the Craniosacral Therapy Educational Trust (CTET) between 2010 and 2019.

How does it work?
Supervision can be 'solo' or in a group. In this contemplative model we may start by sitting together to settle into the field and open to the present experience.
This is the place where you can discuss and explore the relationship you have with your clients, colleagues, and/or any ethical issues; where you can be challenged, and at the same time feel respected, understood and held; where you can go deeply into the work, bring your experience of transference and counter-transference and any thoughts and feelings you have about your work without fear of being judged.
By bringing your queries to supervision, complicated dynamics around your relationship with a patient, client, or work colleague can begin to resolve. Again, this is held in a confidential and safe field.
I am passionate about helping you to thrive, both in your relationships and in establishing and supporting your practice.
Individual sessions: £75 for one hour. A concession may be possible for volunteers, trainees or newly qualified CST practitioners.
Group fees depend on the size of the group and the length of the session, but usually will be more economical.
Bookings can only be confirmed upon payment of the fee.
Cancellation policy: The full fee is due for cancellations with less than 48 hours notice by email or text.
If you have any further questions or would like to book a supervision session, please don't hesitate to contact me.
