Core Process Psychotherapy

Core Process Psychotherapy
for the Heart, Mind, Body and Spirit

Core Process Psychotherapy (CPP) is a contemplative, relational and mindfulness based psychotherapy, which aims to address all aspects that make us who we are - I seek to offer a safe, non-judgemental space in which the therapeutic relationship supports the integration of difficult or formative life experiences.

I work in different ways with each person according to their needs, with the body's felt sense, with thoughts, dreams, feelings and imagination. Drawing on Western and Eastern therapeutic and contemplative practices I aim to bring awareness to and explore processes in the mind as well as the heart, spirit and the body.

CPP is depth psychotherapy and process work - one could describe the process as Investigation and Integration; by investigating present issues and sensations you can gain insight into past conditioning with kindness and compassion, thus enabling you to move beyond your patterning and changing your relationship to yourself and others. CPP meets a variety of conditions and offers the possibility of a long-term therapeutic relationship, accompanying clients from coping to thriving.

I have experience in working with a variety of issues,
among others:

• Issues with self-esteem
• Depression and anxiety
• Trauma, childhood trauma and abuse
• Disordered eating and self-harming
• Grief and unhappiness

Other extensive experiences:
• Support for Performing Artists and other Creative Artists (for example Actors, Filmmakers, Dancers, Singers and other Musicians and Fine Artists)
• Relationships
• Parenting
• Couples (please see the page for Couples Therapy)

I work with adults of all ages, ethnicity, nationality, gender identity or expression, and sexual orientation.

I am a UKCP accredited Core Process Psychotherapist with an MA in Mindfulness Based Psychotherapeutic Practice (MBPP) from the Karuna Institute and Middlesex University. The training at the Karuna Institute has a strong basis both in Buddhist philosophy and in Western psychotherapy.

Having practiced psychotherapy since the beginning of 2017, I gained accreditation with UKCP in June 2020. I adhere to the ethics and the code of practice of the UKCP. A member and trustee of the CSTA, I have been a Craniosacral Therapist (CST) since 2007, have worked as a tutor, coordinator and director at a CST teaching clinic and am a CSTA accredited supervisor for complementary therapists. I have a contemporary dance and performance background.

“The heart needs inspiration for renewal, it needs support to find forgiveness, to awaken to freedom, to open to grace. We must find a vessel, an honourable practice to carry us on this journey, a trustworthy discipline that is able to bring us back to the present and open us to mystery- not in order to become someone else, to “fix” ourselves, but in order to see who we really are.” Jack Kornfield (2000)

What is the next step?

After an initial chat per phone or email we have an trial meeting/session (this can be online or in person) to establish whether Core Process Psychotherapy would be a good fit for you and if we feel we can work together.

If we decide to work together, we establish a regular time and day when we meet, with a review after 6 sessions to establish the continued direction of our work. While we may decide not to continue, this is not short term solution focused work.

Sessions take place weekly and last 60 minutes. The fee for trial and on-going sessions is £75/hour.
A reduced fee of £65/hour may be possible for psychotherapy students, if necessary; however, please note that currently all reduced price spaces are filled.

Bookings can only be confirmed upon payment of the fee.
Cancellation policy: The full fee is due for cancellations with less than one week notice.
